Needs Assessment

Before proposing a Linux solution, we meet with you to gain a general overview and understanding of your business, the kind of technology you currently use, and what future plans you have for the business.

If you are planning for fast-track growth, our technology solution will be designed to help you meet your growth targets.
Systems Integration

In order to see if a Linux-based solution fits into your operation, we identify the technologies and resources that are already installed and in use in the office, noting what should be upgraded and where you can preserve your existing equipment investment. We find out about your current network configuration including the number of servers, connectivity, and speed, as well as the number of client computers and their individual configurations.
Communications Usage

If you envision installing Linux to augment your communications services, we can look at your frequency of use and the volume of fax, e-mail, and telephone traffic coming into and leaving the office. This is important when assessing data line requirements and equipment capacity. For your Web site(s), we analyze their traffic, performance, and operating costs.
Current Applications

We perform a quick survey of your office productivity applications currently in use. We need to find out about how your employees are using them, in terms of features and functions they regularly use, and whether or not the applications meet their needs. It is important to note the applications and equipment that are causing your employees the most difficulty.

We match our proposed Linux solutions to your needs, including training as part of our proposal when new applications and major upgrades are recommended.
Installation and Integration

Depending on the scope of the implementation, project-completion times will vary accordingly, with the installation process generally involving the following tasks. The project team will:

* Select initial Linux installation site
* Install and test Linux solution
* Implement training program
* Conduct parallel tests
* Implement transition (cut-over) plan
* Deploy remaining sites
* De-commission obsolete/replaced systems
* Conclude Linux deployment phase
Post - Installation

After an installation is completed, you have the option of contracting us for ongoing maintenance, support, and service. In addition, Linux provides remote access and administration so we do not need to be on-site to work on your Linux-based desktops and servers whenever your Linux OS needs to be reconfigured or modified. This helps reduce maintenance fees, eliminates the cost of traveling to your location, as well as enhances response time, allowing us to do the configuration remotely and quickly.
